Why no 19 inch rims std on the E63??
Not having a ***** here just curious (not like i can afford one right now) ie the M5 has 19's as do some of its other competitors... It is b/c the E63 sedan is targeted at more peformance luxury, and they don;t want to go 19's b/c of the harsher ride?
does the CLS63 get 19's?
Even our Aussie homegrown efforts have 19's and 20's std.

the ride in the e's is much more plush than in the cls's. my friends e55 feels like you are gliding on air compared to my cls55 and i attributed at least half of it to the profile of the tires. 19's are much rougher.

The M5 is a more complete upgrade over the standard 5 series than the E55 is over the standard E-class - with regard to wheels and tyres at least. Compared to the stock 5 series, the M5 rolls on a bigger overall diameter wheel/tyre combo. The E55 on the other hand has the same rolling radius as the E500 etc.
The M3/C55 is the same story. The M cars have bigger diameter rolling stock than their donor cars, but the AMG doesn't. It gives the car a tougher look and enables a higher aspect ratio than merely upgrading wheel size.
