dilemna
now i check their inventory and realize them having an 03 E55 AMG in pewter metallic... I could trade in my car after it depreciated to $55,000 (OUCH!), however, am not sure if that's a good idea.
what do you guys think - this would be a horrible decision in germany, but for some reason in america old cars don't lose a lot of value when older
thanks
That being said, the same holds true for the dealer selling a used car. E55 depreciation is god-awful, and an 03 should go for a great price. You can minimize the bath you are taking on your car by buying a used E55.
Another thing to consider is that you are giving up a know quantity for an unnknown one. You need to factor in things like warranty and service history. 03 was the first model year, and electrical problems are relatively common.
