Quote: I dig the rear end, it integrates nicely.

As far as the Evo Rotors, mine did the exact same thing.
The solution was some high temp. silver paint and a small artist brush to remove that nauseating rust ring. It is all better now.
Thanks Rock for the rotor touch up paint idea. Not the most sophisticated fix in the world but effective!

Share your feelings on the grill. Any other ideas out there? This is the third one i've tried..........................

Quote: Looks like the Brembo Gran Turismo Upgrade kit ...

BTW that boot lid looks awesome ... what is the overall weight savings ?
Both weigh 15 pounds - half the weight of the originals. With the overall GW of the car, 30 lbs is not a real legit reason to go CF. However it is an E55 so why not?

Besides the trunk spoiler rocks!!

IMO, a color-matched stock grill would be perfect.

Quote: Also took a few pics of the recently installed rotors. Anyone else experience the "rust line" on their evosport rotors? It appears that the pads (porterfields) are not making contact all the way to the inner most portion of the rotor. Other then that the rotor/pad combo is awesome!
Yes, I have that same rust line... bugs the S out me.

Go back to stock on the grill. Paint it black if you have to, but get that clown nose outta there. CF parts look awesome, but ditch those brembo stickers too, thats weak of them

I agree that they look cool, but he might as well have bought an E500 and badged it an E55

well, then he would be a poser. The E55 brakes are made by brembo and the last time i checked the stock AMG calipers have the Brembo logo stamped on the back. So it is not a lie. They are technically more Brembo then AMG.

The GT kit besides the rotors which is the main difference the calipers may have slightly larger pistons if they even are different at all. I am not fimilar with the differences between the two. The GT kit for the E-class is very rare as is.

Last time i checked an E55, if i recall correctly the back of the caliper said Brembo, although i would love to check again just to make sure i am not confusing it. Here are pictures of the C32/C55/CLK55 4 piston AMG kit that i once had installed and as you see the back of the caliper has the Brembo logo.
