Apple 55's New CF HOOD and TRUNK!
Here you can see the pics of the CF hood and trunk after getting it back from the paint shop. I was going to leave it "natural" but is was a little to "over the top" for my taste. The hood is nice but the trunk with integral spoiler I like the most and is a big improvement over the "stick on" one it replaced.
Also took a few pics of the recently installed rotors. Anyone else experience the "rust line" on their evosport rotors? It appears that the pads (porterfields) are not making contact all the way to the inner most portion of the rotor. Other then that the rotor/pad combo is awesome!

DAMNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!! That look sgood! You should've taken some pics before you painted it though. I like the CSL style trunk, where did you get them from? Fitment looks excellent. I know a bunch of the W208 guys want some c/f parts.

That looks incredible!!!! Good job... I LOVE IT! Can you post a couple pics of the whole car with the new CF mods so we can get a complete look at what PERFECTION looks like?

I dig the rear end, it integrates nicely.
As far as the Evo Rotors, mine did the exact same thing.
The solution was some high temp. silver paint and a small artist brush to remove that nauseating rust ring. It is all better now.

That is one siiiiiick trunk.
Your hood looks the same, just a lot slicker though thanks to the (good looking) lack of badge.
I like it, a lot. Neal pulls through yet again.
Garh, everytime I see a nice E55 I just have an urge to pick one up

very nice!! love the rear, and as suggested some pics to see the whole car would be great!
my personal taste goes against the big star grille... cant really see the whole front however,.. more pics!
btw what is the difference of those brembos compared to stock? they do look the same, and are also 8pots.. do they run a larger pad at all?

E55 (for sale if the right offer comes along)...too many others to list
Do you remember the brand and color that you used? I hate that ring, it's just doesn't flow with my black on black.

This was the drill. I purchased Silver Caliper/Rotor paint (sorry, I do not remember the exact brand). Then I lifted the car and removed the wheels.
I sprayed some of the paint into a cup and then proceeded to carefully paint the rust strip away with a fine artist brush. You want to keep the paint off the blue aluminum hub but It's okay to overlapped onto the steel part of the rotor. Once you take the car out and brake a couple of times a clean silver circle replaces the rust ring. I did mine a couple of months ago and they still look nice.

The calipers are stock. The paint shop threw on the Brembo stickers to surprise me. Not my idea as I hate pretenders who stick on badges or emblems that don't belong. For the time being I left it alone rather then risk messing up the paint job.

James that looks awesome! I really love the trunk painted. It gives the E55 such a sportier look since the rear is now rounded rather then very square and flat with just a stick on spoiler. I tried sending you an email but got a delivery failure saying some quota limit? Each part weight approx. 15lbs which is half the weight of stock.
Thanks again! We want more pics!

FYI Just got back from a long trip so the email box was full.
