LSD e55 amg picture of diff apart.

Here is a LSD installed in a e55 amg. work performed at motorwerks in michigan.

Looks nice....but tell me does it affect the everyday ride......is it harsh or does it clunk?......your driving impressions are appreciated.

Phantom grip and kleemann are teh same. As for driving impressions, I'll post those up soon. No clunk though.

Only time I clunk it big time, is when I come around an intersection corner and give it aggressive throttle. When one of those rear tires lifts like that, then massive torque applied, she clunks like no tomorrow.

You learn quickly.....DON'T DO THAT.

Other than feeling just a little different when backing out of a parking spot on sharp wheel turn (it is an ole fashioned 60% lockup posi) , she feels totally normal.

AMG LSD's are 30% per Klee.

sunman: Motorwerks did my LSD/K2 work, caliper paint, VI install. Fine shop! Dont forget to get your dyno done around the corner at Motor City Steel.
BTW: I might be taking my E55 to Milan this weekend to confirm my 'true nature' in the 1/4 mile. Any MI drivers available? Regarding the LSD I have had only minor clunking when I back out of teh garage briskly and put it in D and go-no problems IMO. Joker

I think it works on the same principle as the phantom grip, but I do not think phantom grip makes it for kleeman. I think Kleeman was selling their LSD for about $2300. I tried looking for compatible parts on phantom grips website, but no luck there. maybe if they made something for the chrysler 300c, charger, or magnum...
