I use Sony DVD+R with NERO and burn it as a dvd data disc, but MANY times while switching through songs it will freeze up and i get a "CD-ROM ERROR" on the screen. Does this happen to anyone else?

get rid of Nero and find a copy of DVD Shrink (shareware). Best for ripping dvds that have copyright protection. Or handbrake for a Mac.

dvd shrink is the best program i have used and have been using it for years and never have any coasters.
once in a while i will run into a movie that has different copyright protection that dvd shrink can't crack so i use http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html as a add-on to dvd shrink. i have burned over 1500 dvd's with dvd shrink along with my pioneer dvd burner.

Nero works fine for me for recording MP3 files onto DVD. Make sure your MP3 files are at least 9600 Kilobit per second. If less than 9600 Kilobit per second bit rate then the MP3 files will skip in the COMAND DVD reader.
