E55 vs CLS 63
Drove the CLS 63 the other day. Felt very strong, though the interior looked and felt cheap....at least compared to the E55. Once I got back into my E55, I right away noticed that it pulls much stronger at the lower RPM and gives it up to the CLS after 60-70 mph or so.
Overall, I think E55 takes it

thats funny
Thats the first time I've heard that someone felt that the CLS interior felt cheaper than an E class.
To be honest my opinion is exactly opposite yours in this regards.

What the?! CLS interior feels chepaer than 55?! What sort of pov pack CLS did manage to find!?
The only option in cls's im not a fan of is the unpolished wood, other than that, the interior is undoubtedly better quality than the 55, due simply to more leather and less plastic! thats a no brainer.

Yep, much more luxurious interior than the E55.

I guess we all have different tastes. I thought the dark gauges on the CLS looked japanese. I also didn't like the leather on the doors. E55 has the padded soft leather and the CLS has the plastic look to it. Also, i thought the flip center console is inferior to the E55 sliding wood console. Again, to each his own, i guess

The CLS is a beautiful car, but two glaring faults steered me toward the E55.
First, the headroom in the car is horrible. At 6'3", even adjusting the seat, I could feel my head brushing the headliner.
Second...why in the world did MB design this as a 4-seater? WTH is that all about? I have three boys (3, 4 and 7-years old). I need a 5-seater to compliment our "family vehicle" if we want to drive something other than an SUV.
The dealer had a beautiful silver CLS63 on the lot. That car is pure sex, but with the above mentioned shortcomings, it just didn't fit into my needs.

what is the difference beteween the regal limited turbo and a GN? My buddy has a GN when we were in high school and i loved that car. we lost VERY FEW races against every 350, 454, 426, and whatever was at McDonalds in Milford, CT on Friday night. Of course in GN blew up after a few years of complete beating though. The 35,000 miles were actually 135,000 quarter mile launches![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Very efficient acceleration with the LC2 engine and automatic transmission.
It's in storage now. I'll likely keep it for awhile longer.
