Leather cracking

I am currently in the market for a 2004-2006 used E55. Many of the fairly priced cars I have come across, all seem to be in good condition accept for the front seats. The bolstering (as you enter the car on either side) seems to prematurely cracking.
Do you E55 owners all seem to have the same problem or are the vehicles I’m seeing just not being properly kept-up?

Thanks for any thoughts

I noticed this too on the E-Class, the bolster side (specially driver side) seems to show easy wear. At only 1500 miles on my car so far my bolster already developed the leather mark, and I am meticulous when it comes to leather condition so I leather condition the bolster every few days to prevent pre-mature cracking.

The driver side bolster is bound to have wrinkling. It looks like the previous owners didn't use Lexol or something similar to keep the leather from drying out.

The manual suggests only using a damp cloth and the leather is coated...
