VRUS 80mm TB is STRONG! - Initial Driving impressions
A Great day!!
Picked up my car from C2Designs - drove home some 200 miles and studied many different areas and aspects of the cars performance:
****Revised 11:30pm EST Tueday evening !!!***
I just realized when I did my initial impressions - I had 300 pounds of tires/rims and misc engine parts in the back of my car that I was hauling back home!! --Sorry Dragon - you may want to modify your posts.
Now for the results minus 300lbs !!!
Extreme low end torq - stronger w/quicker response-it's right there/instant!
Mid-range tq and Hp - builds sooner and stronger
Upper-end Hp - BIG Difference!! Here is where the TB shines!!
To describe the 50-120mph "pass" you have to experience t/understand it!!
I tried some 1/4 passes on measured 1320 stripes and it's rather futile now until I put DR's on the car. Feathering the throttle, "fishtailing" until second gear, and I'm still seeing 122'ish (1/4mi) on the speedo in 75 degree weather!
(This test was done with rims/tires out of the car)
Kudos to Chris @C2D (Tampa) as the car runs FLAWLESS!!!!
PTE's 160 thermostat is kicka$$ as the car NEVER went more than 1 bar above 80C no matter how hard I pushed or how many times I ran thru the gears. Once the sun went down, the temp actually "flirted" a few times going under 80 degrees "C" while driving hard but at higher speeds!
The Carbon Fiber is the "classiest" job of interior custom work I have EVER seen in a car. Good digital photos won't even do justice for how beautiful it looks!! Thank You Chris on CF that is First Class!! I'm Happy you convinced me to do it!!
In summation - To see the full potential of how far the performance has risen on my beast, I need DR's NOW!!!...but the car is a BLAST to drive!!
I will post pics tomorrow of all the work once I have them taken

Congrats!!!! That CF looks awesome in the pics and I'm sure you're right... looks even better in person.
Interesting, I actually think it improves the low-end torque as the feels much more powerful from a dig. To me, it feels like the power is increased through the whole powerband.

comment got me think'n and it then "clicked" in my head that I forgot I was toting 300lbs in the back of my car. (It was dark on the drive back home - "out of sight-out of mind" )
For all E55 owners - I'm driving an extended day tomorrow - I'll give additional feedback tomoroow night.
