Help buying 2005 E55!

Sup guys,
So i found an 05 E55 AMG and wanted to know if its the right one. I really wanted black but this car is a Platinum Blue w/charcol interior. The major options are Nav, hands free comm, Panoramic roof, and 6 cd changer. It has 17K miles on it and in pictures looks to be in good condition. He is a used car dealership and says it stickered at $87K. So what do you guys think this car is worth? Do you think any forum dealer here could get better deals?
Thanks

There was a super clean 05 E55 with less than 5k(MBWorld member) that sold recently for $62k on eBay.

I have seen 03 E55's selling in the low to mid $40k.

CLKFREAK you are using these numbers out of context, these are wholesale numbers for cars sold at Manheim auctions, expect dealer prices to be about $10,000 more at asking price.

I think there is a huge difference of what you guys think the car should sell for (low 60s) versus what the dealers are going to ask for these things. My 2005 with 16K miles the dealer was asking 79,900. Lets just be realistic and try to designate what dealers are asking and what you think you can get the car for. Buying a car is simple. Walk in, look over the car, drive it, make an offer and get it rollin. Offer dosent get accepted, next dealer.

You are probably right if you are talking about Mercedes dealers. If you are talking private sales or Ebay sales or even sales from dealers other than Mercedes then you are talking around $60K.

$68K sounds about right and fair in given market. Guys selling lower are only contributing to the unbelievable depreciation on these cars.
