Mother****
I was out on appts all AM. Heading home around 2pm on Thurston, I was rounding the last curve as I approached my driveway. Traveling around 35mph, a ****ing deer jumped out. I scrubbed as much speed as possible, but I clobbered the poor *******.
I hit it dead center on my car. Stopped the car and checked on it. Still alive, broken back legs, obviously in shock. It was trying to pull itself away from me with it's front legs. I put a single shot into it to end it's suffering.
My car isn't too bad. Front bumper, grill, intercooler, fogs, etc are ****ed. Everything else looks fine.
Here is the evil deer...

... and the scene of the accident. As you can see, I was damn close to my driveway :frown: The deer jumped from near where my ATV is sitting and was thrown over to it's final resting place.

... I was exiting this corner ...

And now the car...

Dang! Sorry dude - although it looks like you got away lightly with so little damage.
You know what would have been sweet? - you should have strapped the deer to your car, put a gun rack in the back window and took a photo!

That sucks, this is a bad time of year for deer.
We were in western Pa. this weekend hosting a surprise 60th birthday party for my parents. On the way there, in the GL with all the kids and my parents, a deer jumped out at us on a back road. It was about 100-125' away from us, I nailed the brakes and hammered the horn and it jumped back up the hill and into the woods.
Looks like the heat exchanger is pushed back in the 5th picture.

DAMMIT!!!
Wayne, as you know, I live right down the road from you on Lake Linganore. These deer have no fear in my hood, man. I'm not embellishing at all when I say that I have to dodge 2 to 3 dear a night when I come home. Hell, every morning when I let my dog out, there's a minimum of 7-10 deer just standing in my back yard. I've even opened my front door once at 2am and there was a deer on my stoop eating my wifes shrubs. SON OF A B!TCH that thing scared the crap outta me.
I'm glad you killed that little f*cker.

A racoon did the same to my grill at about 55 mph. The lower grill can be easily reshaped, but the intercooler and oil cooler were replaced. $1100 later it was good as new.
