CF look paint job?
Hi all,
I am considering getting a CF look paint job on the airdam, side skirts and rear bumper (bottom half). Anyone know if this type of thing is done and what kind of money it runs?

I think you'd be sorry... you don't want to cheap'n your car... to me that would be too ricey... now real carbon fiber or an overlay... that would be cool

Ok OK, I guess I mis-named another thread!!!
How does everyone like the idea of getting CF parts to replace:
The lower portion of front and rear airdam? I want to leave the diffuser the matte black. The front would be 2 pieces, similar to the Brabus lip spoiler without a center section.
Both side skirts (entire pieces).
Is that better?

You could start off with a vinyl overlay (stickers) to cover the parts you're thinking about painting/replacing and see how you like the new look without shelling out the $$$$ only to find out you don't like it. If you end up not liking it you could just peel it off.

You could probably have a sticker shop like Modern Image custom cut you some. Not sure what it would cost though. Troy knows them pretty well so if you're interested I'll see if he can find out.

Yes. So far for the MB's i've made a cf rear Rieger style spoiler for 202 and an engine cover for amg 43, 55. I've only had my AMG for 6 weeks. I do work for a composites company making composite parts for the military. We had also just finished the CF rear decklid of the 2006 Ford GT.

Jangy: I don't who Karl is. I'm not trying to make a "business" of this like I said with the Club202 guys, I just really enjoy it and i'd like to help out. Also, I like to meet new people that enjoy the same things.

Look at my recent thread about going to Willow Springs with Symbolic. You may recognize one of the people in the pics. Hint, he was taking a pic of the Spyker as I took a pic. His name is Mel Menor.

(Que Twilight Zone music!) That's cool! Yes, the Boxing Club was my 2nd home for awhile and Mel is a good friend. He helped me propose to my wife at my first fight. (He called her in the ring after my fight and handed me the engagement ring)
