designo graphite combo
how does it look in real life? does it add REAL value to long term worth of the car, other than the obvious implicit intrinsic value.

I have one, on the market value the designo package cost a few grand more, less rare to be spotted on the road, but what I like the most is the paint. So much metallic my eyes hurt!

I love the graphite color.
Your thoughts on the interior, specifically the "white" seats. They're a point of contention to my wife, and a lesser extend, me. There is no such combo car in the bay area for me to check out in person.
Argh!

Of course having said that I added about $18k or so of other options, so sometimes I do regret not adding Designo. But, on the other hand, an S550 with $30k in options is getting close to an S600.
What I love about the designo packages other than the cool colors is the alcantara headliner and extra leather. I've had a couple of cars with alcantara headliners and it makes such a nice difference. Just not sure if it's worth $11k. Maybe next time.

MBUSA should price the designo like the ROW vehicles, with the AMG pricing lower than other models, as those already start at a higher value trim level. Also, the headliner is available seperately.
ROW vehicles also have a dozen exterior and interior designo colors from which to select, unlike the two or three fixed combinations available through MBUSA. Thanks for keeping it easy, so our small brains don't overload.

Well, that's just what you'd expect from MBUSA..... They even tried to hide the setting to change from km to mile, Farenheit to Celcius, etc. from the user as well. I guess they just want to match the level of sophistication of a Lexus......

Oh, it gets better. The whole thing is setup, à la carte, so just the designo trim, headliner, interior, exterior or wheel may be selected, from any of the available combinations.
It is downright dangerous to permit specification of a unique vehicle for the US market. Imagine the consequences and ramifications, which would unfurl over time.
