Inconsistent Power Delivery

Acceleration at WOT usually feels downright scary. However, there are times when the car feels a bit sluggish....to the point where it feels no different from my M3, in terms of acceleration.

Anyone know why this is? Could it be an issue with the supercharger not engaging?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the input, fellas. Perhaps I should've mentioned it's an '06 with 7K miles. Does this still apply? From what I understand after a brief search, 2005+ are less prone to the dreaded ic pump issue.

Where are you located? If you are located nearby Fremont, Ca, we dont mind helping you to check if the pump is dead. Let me know.

Does it cut power after a couple of hard accelerations?
If so, it's likely the IC pump.

Can you data log? Measure the Intake Air Temp, that's the key indicator. Once it exceeds 240F, you're dead - no power.
