Flat Badge Comparisons:
Alright all I have done lots of playing with one of my favorite mods and thought I could share a few things I learned.
First, is the G series badge. It could easily be made to work and costs all of $15 so it is an option to consider. It was not designed to fit into a hole, and the edges are square, but still a nice option.

Next is the White Star Badge from DFWDude:
Very nice quality. Only downside is that I don't see the new E63s, etc using it as they have a similar one on the grill as well. As he mentioned, no other colors or designs are available.

Next is the $10 eBay AMG one. I will add other comments in a later post as I compare it to Mario's, but a few things to note are that the eBay one is completely flat, and has a good amount of imperfections in terms of paint, etc. It is indeed nicer than most and I am not sure what it was made for but I do not think it was for the hood. If you have a flat surface that you want to glue it to, it is perfect (maybe wheel centers?).

Next is the AMG badge from Mario for $150. This one happens to be the "silver" instead of the mustard tinge color, which I prefer. Although I have the mustard one on the car now. Note it has a curvature to it and a deep enamel finish.

I have the badge from Mario. I have tried all the rest and have found Mario's to be of the best quality out there. Of course you pay more for it, but we all did when we bought the AMG's. We pay to play with the best quality and performance.
P.S. Jangy...Im checking into what you were inquiring about earlier. Give me a few more days. I may have a idea.

Too bad that AMG logo is so fruity. I mean, an orange tree, and a valve that looks like a trumpet. That's the only thing about AMG that I don't get.

I have the flat AMG badge too - looks great on my Obsidian black car...Rock the badge on gray looks more stark and stands out more...its all about taste of course...I like the badge myself and I love the lack of clutter on it.

I've tried it. I didn't like the look. The one from Mario is like a stained glass instead of laquer covered like that one. Also, there is much sharper definition in the design. It does cost more, but so did the car.

By email. I had tried to get him to sell them on my site, but he never replied. i guess he like his own gig.
Oh yeah, there are two colors. i have one of each. The ones I posted are the silverish one. He also has a mustard colored one as well.
