Exhaust cut outs E55 Mod?

Has anyone used these Electronically Controlled Cutouts for more power and sound in their E55? I would think you could have a great sound and get more HP from using these and they are electrically controlled from inside the car. This is popular on American muscle cars. What do you think? Keep your stock exhaust and have full open system at a touché of a switch. It’s just finding the correct placement in the system.

Here's where to get them:

These are the Stainless cutout:

Here is an article in L&E Modified Mag I read in May of 2006 that this mod I was looking at works very well on this SL55 600HP streetcar. I marked the areas in yellow with red boarders. I was going to call RPM and find out the pros and cons of this mod on non S/C cars like the E55 00-02. Does anyone know the owner of this SL55 and if they like the mod? I think they use the system I found with a control box they built to control the opening %.

Oh nice that's my friend's Ferrari on the cover...

I have actually been looking for this for a while now. Any specific part number you looking at? I know E55 Baller on the forum has the cut outs and he says it's great...

I love the sound of my exhaust right now but when others get in my car for the first time, especially them girls, they always complain that it's too loud...So I was thinking I can get this done and have it quiet for when it gets too annoying and I want a quiet ride, and bump it up when I feel the need to be loud...

I'd like to see pics of the setup, if anyone has them. I'm confused on how they help power if we are saying that we need the backpressure on a different thread??

Kooks Custom Headers has a sweet set up for the Z06. Saw it on Jalopnik.com Even had a memory on the device that made it open when you hit the kickdown button.
