E class Blue tinted windows anyone?
I have a ‘01 E55 with the factory Blue tinted windows does anyone have these windows and can I use a Radar detector like V1 rear mount sensor or are these windows IR coated? Thanks

Dawson, you likely have PPG Solextra (link below), which MB uses in many different cars. Check the watermark on your window. Many threads if you search on Solextra.
It's not a film. Wonderful product and surprising that more makers don't use it. No need to tint in most parts of the U.S. because it looks so good and is effective in cooling/protection.
I use a detector and have never felt that its performance is compromised by Solextra.
