Not again...

Today I experienced power loss again. This was also one of the first warm days in a while in Dallas, 65 degrees as opposed to 30s-40. Car was running like a slug when I would mash the gas at around 2000rpm (2nd gear or 3rd) up to 4500ish then it's like someone kicked it in the behind and mashes you in the seat and takes off. I tested this on a long 2 mile bridge. Would put it in M mode and drop to 3rd and slow down until I was running at 2000 rpm. Then I would floor it. Car would very slowly climb up the rpm range, dismal acceleration, until it hit about 4500 then there was a sudden surge of power and off it would go.

I know peak HP is right around there so was I feeling that and my blower is shutting down again or is this something else? I put a sprintbooster in 2 weeks ago and it's been great, kicked down easier, more responsive acceleration, 12.5 mpg, it was wound tight as a top and fun to drive. Today it was just blah, didn't want to get moving, 14.6 mpg, driving around all I could think was "I hate this..."

Sorry about the car ... where's the 2 mile bridge?
If your car was running right, how fast could you go on it?

Either 66 between Rowlett and Rockwall or I-30 between Garland and Rockwall. It's an odd place because the city of Dallas owns the lake and bridge so the local municipalities have no jurisdiction over it. Only a Dallas or state cop can pull you over there, and it's a bit out of the way for Dallas and you never see state cops there except on rare occassions. The bridge is too narrow for them to wait on it, so they have to wait at the ends of the bridge. At night it pretty much turns into a dragstrip and you can hear cars racing across all night long.

Top speed across there, no comment. But it's definately running poorly. I'm going to take it in to the shop Monday.
