Brabus SL65 on TopGear
Well this V12 740HP 6.3 litre twin turbo monster went on test and around their "test track" ...
Well almost predictably - it could not get traction ... even with reduced 1st gear torques etc ... blinken traction control was the name of the game plus roasted brakes ... rears from traction control activation.
212mph - so the conclusion was ... no good ... cannot get traction.
I'll try and see if I like it - just let me drive it for a year or two. I'll supply the fuel.
O and BTW it was as fast as the M5 around their track ... isn't that interesting!

BUT...
Improperly calibrated, hyper-sensitive ABC makes the car complete trash as far as I'm concerned. Bouncing around sideways like it was on stilts. No grace, just incomprehensibly pathetic.
At least when AMG make a car, they try and make the best compromise all-round. Brabus?

Dyno Mode
Would it help to put the car in Dyno Mode so that you could learn - very carefully and under controlled conditions, of course - how the car would consistently respond to various launching techniques without traction control and ESP butting in?
I also wouldn't mind the 'too much power to launch' problem. Sort of a badge of honor - kinda' like the Russian boxer in Rocky IV who hit so hard, they couldnt register it on the punch-o-meter.
