Uses of a STAR TekInfo subscription?
It looks like this is the Official DC way to procure info? I don't mind the $3K per year, but want to see what all it covers. Does anyone know? Do I get full access to parts acatalogues, technical pics and WIS, etc? Also, is the subscription to the STAR updates separate? Last thing, will it have instructions on the use of STAR and all of its features?
Any help would be great. I am needing to get up to speed on SDS functionality, so anyone that knows its potentila please respond or PM me. I am willing to make it worth your time by either paying you in cash or prorate you some future discounts?

Jangy,
instead of paying 3k/year why not just get a day or a week subscription and try it out see if you like it.
most yearly subscriptions are done by shops, 3k is pretty steep for "info"
btw the parts catalog including diagrams etc, you can get at $20/year through them, it's all on star site.
but of course if you subscribe to Star you get access to parts catalog as well
give it a shot first see if the info there is really worth it for your needs
regards

LOL, thanks for the advice. I was thinking the same thing. I am signing up today for the week version.
I just want to see what all it offers. To be honest, $3k per year is not much for info, IF that info is valuable. I want the work done right, so everyone can be comfortable with us. It simply won't work any other way. There are enough shops trying to do what they can to build relationships with distributors. I want one that focusses on the client.
If anyone has any special requests or questions about the Tekinfo site, let me know and I'll try to look it up.
