Im always up for Track rental.
If anyone wants Ill see when the next track rental day is and post it in a new thread.
The Speedworld guys have gotten lazy and don't want to rent it out too often, or make you bunch up with another small group. Which is fine with me as long as there is no Hondas, and with private rental costing $213 a car you don't see too much of those.
It is VERY nice to have the track to yourself though. You can take your time, no pressure....

A bag of ice will melt and drip onto the track or in the staging lanes. I would recommend dry ice or an ice pack.. see below

I would be interested in a track rental as well if you guys were to set something up. I have an m6 so it would be fun to run with some other nice cars instead of the normal osw crowd. Havent been to the track with it yet either.

I'm new to this...I have an 2004 E55...nice and fast...however I'm getting intermitten rumblings at 1700RPM - 2000RPM...a second long repeating every half second...and getting worse. Idles ok...sounds good, new plugs. Anyone know what this might be?

Honestly the "a/c" seats are a joke. They don't work for ****, they might as well not even be there so don't let that be a must have to find a car. I was the same way when I was searching and wanted them then read on here how everyone says they are nearly worthless and I can confirm it in mine, they are nearly worthless. Heated is nice, but a/c part is a joke.

Don't know how.
Yeah, get the bigger fans to put in the backrest and hack them up to fit. Think it was Berti who made a thread showing pics and stuff when he did it. May be others out there as well.

Huy guys this my first post at this forum so i don't know if i am writing on right topic
So what's my question
What is the most optimal start and shifting on drag racing for E55 AMG 2006 stock
particular: 1) What is the optimal rpms to start?
2) What about turning off ESP
3) what is the optimal rpm range to shift on different gears
Thank you

The best way to launch these cars (assuming you get traction) is to NOT bring the rpms up and launch from idle. The ecu seems to not want to give full power immediately when the gas and brake pedal are pushed at the same time to bring up rpms. Leave the trans in sport D mode and let it do all the shifting. Firmly mash (not quite a stomp) the pedal and release the brake at the same time and hold on!
