Accurate or being deceived?
I see on dragtimes that theres a number of supposedly stock M5s running 12.2 and 12.3 at 116. One is 12.3 at 116 with 21" rims on street tires. Does this sound right or are these cars not stock? Seems a little fishy to me.

****s for real man, you have to understand the main reason why the M5 blows in the quarter is that first gear is horribly slow and the SMG doesn't allow clutch dumps, combined with the fact that our launch control is horrid. Nitrous, apparently, fixes this.

The car might be completely stock but what about the tires. Are they running slicks, MT's or a sticky street tire. The only way a stock M5 could generate a low 12 sec E/T is with a 60' of around 1.6 which is impossible with the factory tires. A 116 mph is more consistant with a mid 12 sec E/T

i might believe there are a few m5's running those times...but i would also have to believe that it happened at one of the select tracks that are worth 4/10 second over most tracks. tracks like atco, mir, moroso, etc...
i was trapping 116mph with 11.9x et's in my 55. no 1.6 but i did manage a 1.71 60ft on street tires.
