I was just wondering why other portions of the car are scuffed up. Are they touching up previous flaws or is that just a part of the blending technique? Looks top notch so far and I'm glad it's in good hands
They sand the body panels down and repaint them so that the paint on the new body parts will blend in with the old ones. I heard from a couple shops that it's the right way to do on a metallic painted car (mine's designo Mocha Black).
I need to thank Neal @ Euroteck of sending out the CF Lip through UPS 2 day so I'll get it Monday and be able to drop it off at the body shop!! Thanks again Neal, you're the best!
Glad you are OK KEV, on the bright side you will get some NEW parts on your car , and it will look great when you get it back. Glad the insurance co is not playing games.Looks like 10-12k damage?
So sorry to hear what happen. I am glad that everyone is doing good. I've been there a couple of times and it's not fun specially the next day. JJ
This is the 3rd time that I've been hit from behind, but the past 2 times were at parking lot speed so not a lot of damage was done. I'm glad that neither myself nor my passenger suffered from any whiplash injury coz it's definitely not fun.

Thanks! I'm definitely getting new stuff and new mods put into the car so there's at least a sweet part in this ordeal. The insurance companies (Premier and Liberty Mutual in this case) are very good to work with. LM agreed to pay for everything immediately and the other party actually called in to tell them that she's at fault.
You're pretty accurate on the cost of the damage. The initial appraisal came out to around 8K, but with the aftermarket parts that were damaged as well as some other not-so-apparent damage, the total comes out to around 11k for both the front and back.
the 63 front os too "edgy" for my taste, and I like the Carlsson tips better than Eisenmann
thats totally cool aslong as they make it brand new again and everything is matched and blended correctly, good luck and post some pics whens shes all done
