There are some occasions here in the UK where they hire out airstrips and you can take your beast to full wack - or close to it ...

Ya there are a few idiots on this board who regularly do V-max runs on the local interstates. Just go to the kill forum and read about some puke doing 135 mph in his C240!

The Texas Mile ran 2 weeks ago, 220mph in 24.1. Motor Trend vid, run by a Hennessey Viper. Yes, that Hennessey.
