Peter was a nice guy on the forum for a long time. He had an issue with the car and the pulley ended up messing up the key just like with Jangy's car (from what we know about Jangies car). So his car got a new crankshaft etc and he went back to stock after that I guess.
That pulley may be a new part I have no idea but his car was around the forum for a long time. He and EVOsport had it out over who's fault it was regarding the failure of the pulleys etc. He had EVOsport parts for a while and was always in the forefront of testing new items. When they he had the pulley installed it came lose a couple times and damaged the crank. He never could prove what happened I guess and sadly he had to get his car fixed out of pocket (as the story goes). It was another case of installer and maker pointing fingers. I have no clue where that story ended.
People get heated when their cars break and he went out in a ball of fire but he still was a helpful guy for a while before that. Thats the risk we all take wiht modding cars and why I stay stock!

If the car had had the same issue with an oem pulley would he be required to say that the car had motor work done etc? Its not like his car is junk now it just has had some work done to it.
But yes he could have been far more low key and honest with the e-bay ad listing. But you need to have been here when he posted to understand his personality. That e-bay ad is exactly what you would have expected from him.

sorry doing to many things at work all at once. I meant to say that the woodruff key was damaged (ie rounded off etc). This is what we saw with Jangy's car as well assuming the stories all were spot on.
All bearings were fine in the motor. Trouble is once you damage the key on the crank beyond repair you need a new crank and that means pulling the motor.

You guys are being way too harsh. The guys motor didn't blow. What CynCarvin32 is saying is right. I believe the guy even posted the ticket from MB when he had the work at one point? I could be wrong but he was on here a lot and did share a lot of info about the whole deal. I bet most all of the M3 guys that actually had blown motors didn't advertise it when they went to sell their cars. That's why you run Carfax reports, it's keeps em' honest. IMHO I think we can cut him some slack, he didn't lie about it did he? Unless I missed a post somewhere. The parts could have been new replacement from Evo that he never used?
