What are people's solutions for a spare with the 3rd row installed? With the 3rd row installed, there is still a big hole under the trunk. Will a space saver fit? If not, I am still thinking of ordering a spare and leave my garage for emergencies. Has anyone ordered a spare for their wagon and if so, where is the best place to get one and what type/specs to get? From MB directly, or some aftermarket ones like tirerack?

for me I am converting it back to storage tray.... I have all the parts.. just no time. and them I will see if a spare fit.. FYI. I was told that all AMG does not have any spare.

I just picked up an E63 wagon this past Saturday, and I was surprised that it did not have a spare. Of course the salesman knew nothing about this, and stated that someone must have forgotten to put one in it. At any rate, I think it would probably be a good idea to have one in the garage just in case, or as 55wagon stated, just remove the third row seating and make it into storage.

The CLK55 AMG that I just turned in did have a spare, and I had to use it a few times while I had the car.

Thanks for your responses. I asked MB to quote me a price for space saver and they quoted me price of $650! I think you could get a forged BBS wheel for that price. I think I will check with tirerack to see what they have. I am thinking it will not fit under the 3rd row seat as well, but will leave in garage for emergencies.

I had an e55 wagon w/ the 3d row seat and no spare. The sales-douche told me that the car was shod with run-flats. Like a lovesick fool, I believed him.
