What to look for when buying used E55?

I've been repeatedly swaying back and forth between buying a used E55 or M5. Any inherit problems with the E55's that I should look out for. I see quite a few '99s for sale but am interested in '00 or newer with Command.

On a tangent, I am also interested in possibly leasing a '02. Any idea what MB is offering in the way of leases (money factors, residuals, etc.). The local dealer quoted me a money factor of .0038 whcih seems high and 60% residual for 36 months/12K per year.

The money factor is high, it translates to 9.12% APR if you were retailing the car. If your credit is over 740 then you should be seeing lower rates even on used cars. The residual on the other hand is good- especially for a used car. I was checking Chase's base residuals today for a new E55 at 36 months and it was 51%. This was for standard mileage (15K) and no dealer specials. The 60% is probably taking into account that the majority of that car's depreciation has already hit being a 2 1/2 year old car.
