some1 clear this up please 160 -200mph??
I have been doing some really hardcore reaserch the last couple of days because I am buying an E55 next week and trying to sort the differences in the 03, 04,05's which are the three years im looking at. I have searched all over this forum and cant find my answer so here it is.
is the 200mph speedo on the newer years just for looks.??? because it seems to me that the car def has the same power 469. I was wondering if the newer ones have a different tranny with longer gear ratios but then i saw in another thread about top Speed that almost every 1 is toping out at 150-155sh so can some 1 clear this up for me is the 200mph just for looks or does the 05's actually have capabilities to climb higher.. or do they have different governor's for up top.. thanks. greatly appreciated.

Looks. The command unit is different as well on the 04, 05, also improved steering racks in 05. Same hp, same trans. Limiter should stop you @ 155-158mph. I am sure there are some other improvements from 2003-2005. The speedo was one of em but yeah it is cosmetic

thanks you guys are great..... ok so no biggie in difference I think id preffer the 160 because looking at the 200 and knowing i cant never get there would kinda bug me ... it's like if my bike topped out at 145 and has 180 on the clock uhhhh i dont think id like that...
