Great Lakes Dragaway 4/13/07
Bone Stock '05 E55, 41 degrees F, major traction issues w/ Kuhmo EcstaSPT
First time at track with it. Good traps but horrible ET's.
12.9@118.2 and a 12.7@117.5
I've got a video of it filmed with my HD camcorder. Anywhere I can host this 14MB file?

Almost went out there myself last night. I talked to a family member who is part owner of the track. They spray the whole track when its that chilly out there..

Well I put it on YouTube. Boy does it compress the video.

Interestingly enough, some 2003s have more aggressive ECU calibrations than any other year. This is usually reflected more at the track than on the dyno, due to insufficient airflow on the rollers.

We have seen 2005s running 10-15 RWHP stronger than the earlier stock examples. The ECU spark and fuel calibrations are identical to 2004 and 2006 models, so the difference is likely due to the minor hardware changes and TCU settings.

I haven't seen any 2003 E55's run 118mph stock...all the 118traps are from 2005's that I can recall from this board.

Hey rberga1,
We should try to hook up some time at GLD I live about 4 mi from there and sometimes go 1-2 xs/week. I can get 11.8's in my '03 on my stock conti's if the track is prepped well. Highest trap is 124. It's fun beating the unsuspecting trailered cars that sometimes frequent there.

Nice! Yeah we definitely should when the track re-opens in spring. That day I went there were a bunch of trailered LT1's and LS1's that had good et's but slow traps (everyone of em had either slicks or MT DRs). However, there was one red LS1 T/A running low 11's at 123traps.
Next time I go, I'll pm you.

Rodney - I have a rain check for GLD I'm going to use (they wound up only doing 1/8th mile runs due to heavy crosswinds) come April along with a few friends. Drop me a note and maybe you can join us?
Take care,
