She's Back...

Just got the 55 back post accident. Six weeks later and as good as new (feels/looks just perfect). Major kudos to RAB Motors (Marin) for all their service/support-they're terrific. Anyway, will try to post pic's soon with Rock's former spoiler attached (got bingo w/ Rock's generous member give-away; mb collision touched up and resprayed for perfect match).

As luck would have it, encountered a e60/M5 today on way home just across GG Bridge. He stayed behind me for a bit then came up on my left and just stayed over my shoulder for awhile, then nosed up. Unfort. had car in front of me, so when lane cleared I edged up. When even, I just cruised then mashed it and let off-no response. Then slightly mashed it again and nosed ahead...again, no response. Oh well, maybe it was the car being badged and new rear spoiler (ha), or, maybe just didn't care, but he sure came up on me fast originally.

RAB is an upscale dealership. Glad all worked out for you!! The stretch from the GG into Marin is a sweet spot to pull!!

Jangy,

absolutely correct. this is near same place the black f430 at medium roll (~30-35 mph) tried to pull until i answered and jumped about 1.5 cars immediately-he let off. as i slowed, he just stayed back and cruised at slower speed. beautiful f-car though.

I used to catch quite a few F-cars right there at the dealership in Mill Valley. I lived right up the hill there, so I drove by the dealership everyday.

beside the black f430, i too, have seen many f-cars there, and p-cars too (Sonnen Porsche is located on opposite side of fwy now). surprisingly, none have tried to pull on the 55-they all just let her be 9x/10.

You gotta be acreful on that stretch. there are lots of cops and they don't take too lightly to racing. You ever make the twisty drop into stinson beach? That is one heck of a stretch. I used to do the 20 mile run from there all the way back around into kenfield on a daily basis in my M3. That's where I honed half my road race skillz!!
