OK guys just got off the phone with the shop and the long tubes are super sprint however for our testing of this stage five kit we have to initially keep the cats in tact so we must use the Renntech shorties and I gues those are what is planned for my E55. Sorry for the mis info, as I was so excited I just looked at the PO and not exactly what was planned for my E from a R and D stand point. So damn...I appologize and feel like an a$$, or maybe a tease. I will still take a bunch of pics when the wheels and tires are on as well as post my stock baseline numbers and the after stage 5 numbers on our dynojet when available if you guys want me to. Rudy has the shorties. In fact, all the Renntech Stage 5 clients have the shorties.

what possible testing reasons would require you to keep the cats and have to go with shorty headers???

 

We are doing research on what our exhaust system will make on a stage 5 renntech package that passes emmisions tests.

Your list of components for the Stage 5 is different than what I have on my Stage 5, namely, a new intercooler and intercooler pump. If that has been added to the Stage 5, without a price increase, that's not going to make me very happy since I've been quoted about $3,400 to add the pump and heat exchanger from Renntech.

stage 5 also dosnt come with the rims they cost extra to.

There is no more stage 5, is there? I am looking into how I want to mod mine back out and I am planning a 4 step staging. I'm not interested in the rims, but the rest is a no brainer. I'll be going with the shorties as I w=don't want to deal will dead cats.
