When will they learn?

Just get over it, you win some, you lose some. You can't always be the winner......

LOL on this! I owe video's to people (total empty suit at this point) so I have been quiet (co-worker has a Gallardo and just got a M5 last week). I have raced them both but I must say the hype on the M5 is a bit of a joke (especially at high speeds). We raced from 20 MPH and I put a car and a half on him to 50. Then, we raced on the freeeway (in the M5 'ZONE') from 60-110. I hit it in 2nd gear (the ESP flashed) and stayed ahead of him until 110 when we had to back off). They are just not as fast up top as people claim...
At any rate, the videos (they will be extensive and good) will come...
Please post the videos when you're ready. However, don't link it over to the M5Board or else you'll get banned in no time
"Well you needed to be in X gear at Y speed, match your RPM's to Z" and "The E55 must have had a jet engine strapped to its roof"
What else, does Mercury have to be in retrograde and the asphalt temperature be 75? Give me a break.

Btw: Calling someone who has been a member since 2000 a troll is stupidity - leave the guy alone.. And why all the remarks about how he can't drive just because he accidently was in the wrong gear, happens to everyone. Honestly I'd hate to see this board lower themselves to the standards commonly known at mbworld.org - it's all bollocks and makes it a bloody pain to read a forum.
I'd rather just punch the throttle.
M5/M6.
Most of those M guys are so hard-headed and ignorant
Couple things here - the M5/E55 are close enough at street speeds that the victor of most public roads encounters will likely be determined by a number of variables, including momentum, weather, and not least of all, driver. And lets face it, the M5/E55 crowd are more likely to be known for their prowess with a FICO score or a mortgage refi than they are cutting a light. So, when you combine two pretty closely matched cars in street conditions, drivers who likely can't reach either car's limits, and highly variable "racing" conditions, you should not be surprised if either car wins on "any given day."
Oh, and don't be so sure you have the straight scoop when someone tells you their rig is "totally stock." I've been known to tell people that the whirring they hear under the hood of my car is just the "K&N's", and not a CGT-eating alcohol-injected blower. I digress.
End of the day, both the E55 and M5 are great sport-luxo sleds, but neither crowd should be too eager to lay claim to a crown that is not so clearly decided. For that matter, about the only forum where a clear winner is apparent is the track (the wiggly kind, not the right-foot circuit), and on that count, I'd suggest the slushbox crew ease up on icing the champagne until M5 guy figures out how to work his i drive and what that "M" button does when pressed.
WAR BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CUPHOLDERS
