2018 E63S,
Damned Dealer Flashed my ECU!

I dropped my car in for service and specifically instructed the dealer not to flash my ECU. I even have the service advisers notes on my paperwork stating "Do not flash ECU". Well, I picked up my car and it is SLOW. Doenst spin the tires. Nada. The beast isnt a beast, its a *** domesticated purring *****cat. What do I do?

Some people say your beast will come back after a while as long as you continue to beat on it, others suggest the sneaky ECU reset followed by a sound beating. What I would first suggest is you look over your paperwork and see if they did the "air pump recall" and then take it from there with the stealership.

My SA was cool, we did the pump recall but didnt do the software reset and the beast continues to growl, so-to-speak.

Actually my car feels faster with the new pump. Supposedly after 500 miles they say your car should come back but that could be urban legend? I am sure someone who got reflashed will come forward and tell your their story and their solution.

My car wasn't affected by the recall. I will concur with what others have observed - affected cars "come back" after a few hundred miles.
