Huge loss of power after accelerating frequently?

Hello everyone, I just picked up my E55 yesterday and I have allready noticed a problem. After accelerating sharply several times on the highway I suffer a huge power loss. I have read about this problem on the C32 forum, the intercooler pump is failing when it happens. Do we have the same intercooler issue? I noticed the check engine light came on as well. My gas cap won't go on so I think that might be to blame for the light. The car has 54K miles on it. I want to figure out what is wrong so I can try to get this fixed by the dealership I bought it at. Thanks for any input.

2003 and 2004 are notorious for failing IC pump. I have been lucky with my new replacement pump. Do a search and you will find a ton of information.

But the best solution is probably the Evosport cooling upgrades.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. Under MA State law the dealer I bought the car from has to warranty the car for 60 days. So I am going to just get a oem replacement. If it breakes again I will look you up.

Consider an IC upgrade. Does anyone know exactly what the differences are between the EVO, K, and RennTechh ICs?
