I am **SUCH** an idiot!!!
I have had my car exactly one week (2003 E55) and was parking at my club yesterday. The front apron went over the concrete block that they put at teh front of parking spots to stop your wheels. I could hear it grind. What a horrible feeling. I stopped immediately and backed up and it pulled the apron off! Not the whole thing, just the left side. But ****!! I'm such an idiot!
I really wish I could add parktronic to this car.
It's in the shop today being fixed and I have to drive a C-class loaner

I've done the same thing. What the **** are those concrete dividers there for? They serve no purpose other than to ruin nice cars and stop you from exiting the space the other way (which is pointless unless as they are are only ever installed where the lanes are NOT one way)

Well, I'm a little glad to hear that Parktronic would not have helped me avoid this. Yeah, pressing the 'raise' button would have been a good idea. And probably taking it off the 'sport 2' mode would have also raised it a little. It's just that this car is so new for me I don't have those options burned into my brain yet. The only good thing that will come out if it is, since it's in the shop anyway, I can have them install the iPod interface (and of course then I have an excuse to go buy an ipod and put my 60 gigs of Grateful Dead in my car). Still, I'm just sick over this. My poor baby.
Adam, any idea where I might be able to get my tail-lights tinted and the chrome blacked out in the (east) Bay Area? I just LOVE the way it looks on allied107's CLS. Especially those front bumper lights.

Well, the dealer did me right. They fixed it up and did not charge me. As good as new. Now as soon as I can get a couple of hours to myself I'll wash it and post some photos.
