I know this is mostly a psychological change since depressing the gas pedal more with the stock version gives the same result, but given all the write-ups I figured it's worth the try -wouldnt be happy unless I was messging with something! When I ordered mine from partsexporter they had 5 units left for sale under the group price structure.

The SB makes a great addition to the E63 and the 7 spd tranny b/c it is so adaptive and smooth. I was originally concerned that it would be too jumpy, but not so at all. It allows you to have more power on tap more quickly for acceleration and makes the car feel more lively, without feeling rough.
Will never part with mine (and its only been 2 days). In love with the car all over again..... Best $300 I have spent recently

I did get the A2 version, a.k.a. AMG version. The seller 'partsexporter' asked for make and model and confirmed the proper Sprint Booster.
Prior to the SB an increase of say 25% in pedal pressure would increase the throttle and maybe drop a gear, now it drops 2 gears and holds for improved accel. I am sooooo impressed w/ the implementation of this part. I am not usually one that likes to floor it, so tapping into the power earlier suits me just fine. This car is AMAZINGLY fast.
PS I would like to give kudos to MB AMG for the new software for the E63. Makes the car so much smoother in 1st, both accelerating and stopping. Starts in 1st AT ALL TIMES and holds gears more readily for sprinting. That coupled w/ the sprint booster makes every trip fun. If anyone has not gotten the software, MAKE SURE YOU DO!!!!

Okay... my sprint booster arrived and I installed it today... man oh man, it's awesome!!! Exactly what the E55 needs. I hate the throttle delay these cars have and this SB definitely corrects that. Obviously this device doesn't make the car any faster... but it definitely feels like it!!!! A must have!

Just received my SB and installed it in less than 5 minutes. I took the car out for a drive and oh my god what a difference. Awesome mod! I can't wipe the grin off my face. Makes me feel like the day I drove it home.

I finally fitted mine. Took me 10mins. Easy just a bit awkward.
I was worried it would make the throttle 'twitchy' in stop start driving - it doesn't. I dont think there is any difference compared to standard at light throttle openings. It does sharpen up the mid throttle response very nicely. I think it makes the car easier to drive. I was expecting a more dramatic effect given some of the posts here. Its not like day and night - which is probably a good thing.
Haven't tried it for a quick get away from the lights yet.
I'm happy and recommend it. The car is more like MB should have made it.

Where are you guys buying these and what do they run? I did a search for "partsexporter" and didn't find anything.
Thanks,

I had the exact same experience. Actually, I was a little diappointed that the car didn't buck into action when I breathed on the pedal but I agree the car is easy to drive and mid responce is better. I like it and wouldn't mind if it were more aggresive. It is now how MB should have produced the car.

That is why, this time, I ordered the AMG version which is tuned to the already more responsive AMG throttle, without going over the top.

Thats not my experience at all. The car is perfectly driveable at light throttle openings. Either you have a very heavy right foot or installed the non-AMG sprint booster (like Rafal). Check the serial number I listed above.

Light touch of the throttle, like reversing up the driveway, parking etc, and the car feels like it always did without the SB. Add a little more pressure and it romps away like it got an extra 200Nm.
Much easier to control than the Auto model but just as much fun.

You are right. I just installed the AMG model and what a difference!

I forwarded Sandoval's excellent link to my brother in South Africa and bought him two SBs from the Partsexporter!
PS. You can skip one step: no need to unhinge the gas pedal by removing the top pin, it comes out in one complete unit just as easily!
