Anyone With Knowledge Of 20" Rims On A 55 Please Read And Reply
[/B]I Have 20' Wheels To Go On A 2006 55. I Plan To Put 245/35/zr20's In The Front And 285/30's In The Back Just Because I Feel Like Keeping My Teeth After Possibly Hitting Any Potholes. I've Seen A Few Stock Suspension 55's With That Tire Setup And They All Say It Doesn't Rub At All. They Also Say It Drives Perfect But I Still Am A Little Leary. I Know They Will Fit Ok But Im More Concerned About The Bigger Circumference And The Possible Effect On The Tranny, Suspension, Sensors, And Sht Like That. If Anyone Has Any Knowledge Of This, Please Let Me Know Before I Spend A Guap On A Tire Setup Thats Going To Fk Up The Car.

Your going to throw the car all out of whack if you change any of the overall diameters more than about 5%.
You have to be more specific with what your intention is. if you are asking for performance, then sure size (width and height) will matter. At the minimum, you will change gearing (taller).
Weight of the rim is one thing, but also realize that the center of mass is shifting.
I hate 20s, so I'm the wrong one to ask.

Adr Sterlings. They Weigh About 35lbs A Peice W/out Tires. and the only offset i could get is 35's and I have to get spacers for the front to fit with the calipers. I don't race hardcore. I just rip around so im not worried about track times too much as I am about appearance and a smooth(ish) ride.
The simmilar tire set up is actually on a black e55 on ebay. All you have to do is type in "e55 20" and it pulls right up. This e55 with 255/35/20's in the front and 295/30/20's in the back and it looks like it works. let me know what you think?

I had 285/30/20's on my E55 and they didn't show any noticeable signs of rubbing but the car did the "wiggle" under hard acceleration. The wheels came off a CL600 so maybe the offset was wrong but the car's handling was a little unstable compared to stock and the ride sucked so much I went back to the stock wheels.
