Bit the bullet and bought PS'2
After considerable research I decided to replace worn rear PS'2 with a new set of PS'2. As I stated in a previous post, I only got 6,000 miles on the previous tires (fronts still look pretty good) and wasn't keen on the idea of paying $700 every 6 months. But it just didn't seem to be worth the savings to go to a lesser tire. I will, however, be kinder and gentler to these tires than I was to the previous set.
