What inpact on warranty? Or to phrase the question more precisely, is this mod detectable by factory service techs? Is it likely to get undone and returned to stock if the dealer decides to apply an update or reset that subsystem? Is there any visible change (you mention button selection switches on the gearshift module) that would raise a red flag to a dealer?
Though I'm sure that if Adam is involved he'll use his relationships with a dealer to look the other way, I'm still interested in general warranty repercussions.

Guys.. Please make sure you send me the emails so I can keep everything coordinated.. I need to manage the payments, scheduling, and shipment of parts so please make sure you email the info I need and I'll get you hooked up. I will then send off the information to Adam so he can schedule installs for local people and handle the packages going in and out for me.

I am very intrested in this as well...My was made is 07/03 but 2004 model and in US it was sold as 2004...

When i was at the dealer visiting a friend, I was asking him different questions and he mentioned that the dealer has a tranny program that they can install in a customers car if the customer is complaining about shift times and things it shifts too softly. He said that the foreman has to authorize it and that the customer must sign a piece of paper before they will install it on a car. I'm wondering if the paper reduces the warranty on the tranny and if this is a similar program. I will speak to him in the next week or so and will get more info then. In other words, i'm wondering if you can't just take your car into the dealer, pay for 1-1.5 hrs of labor and get your tranny reprogrammed.
as always (like with the dealer lowering your car via star diagnostics, etc), it probably depends on the dealer and their willingness to help you mod out your car

Ted: No speed shift for the G55 due to its curb weight.. we can do EGS though.

Mike, Whenever I post things like this on the board.. whether it be airboxes, speedshift, etc.. I make a pre-committment with a specific vendor or source that I find.. The reason I make everything go through me instead of sending everyone individually to a vendor is for buying power.
Unfortunately, the short answer is that you have to send the EGS unit to me if you want to get it done.

Oops.. Missed it.. Sorry..
I dont know the technical details to be honest.. I only can tell you about the end result. I know that the SCN coding is performed because the EGS module is coded for a specific VIN# and we can use brand new EGS and ship it out to an end user and then take his back as a core.
In order to do a brand new EGS module the SCN coding has to occur, so it is taken care of .
