E63 Renntech Headers and ECU??

I'm surprised no one has yet to get an E63 and add the Renntech headers and ECU upgrade. The Renntech website states approximately 555HP and 510lb/ft of torque. This should really wake up the E63 right?? The torque is similar to the great E55 stock that everyone raves about and the increase in HP should improve high end acceleration. I can't wait for someone to do these mods to find out if it pans out to be real because then the E63 should perform amazing. Anyone agree or disagree? Just making conversation. If I knew this would be a strong improvement I would abandon looking for a CL65 and maybe go with an E63.

Actually, I am trying to find a local client that wants to purchase the Renntech package so we can do couple of dyno runs. Local E63 owners, now is your chance, i'll give you favorable discounts...

Curious

I would be curious to see, if the Renntech numbers match the dyno numbers on the car. Anyone want to take a bet on it????? I love easy money!!!!

Stephen,
Why did you return your SL600 back to stock?? I use to have an 05 SL600 with the ECU/TCU Renntech upgrade and loved it. My only problem is the car went into "Limp Mode" to often from hard acceleration. I've never heard of anyone returning the car back to stock? How much money did you lose?

Why? Car did not have the power anymore, something happened not sure what. Renntech likes to blame the intercooler pump, but even if that was a problem, my thought on a dyno, a cool car should produce great numbers on a first run, a second or third run may show a drop off if the pump is bad. I contacted the owner and he 100% blew me off with my questions while my car was at one of the largest dealerships in Florida which is also a Renntech dealer. (They do steer you away from it though due to warranty issues). I am letting them reflash my ECU this next week and I will compare it to my current dyno reports. It sucks nowadays that so many people and companies don't stand firmly behind their products and their claims.

I made a post

I made a post about my experience in the R230 forum.

I have been amazed by the number of private messages I have received and the comments from several people who I have read posts on over that past several years.

The experience is like TV commercials and so many internet pages. "FREE", but they need my credit card.

I had no idea!! I will go to the SL forum and read the whole thing. That totally sucks. What a waste of time and money. I can't believe Renntech wouldn't help you. Makes me angry!!!

G55 & SLK55
REnntech Package 2 sounds good for 555hp, Though I would really like to hear and see what a Renntech'd E63 with the stage 2 could gain with the secondary catalytics deleted and an xpipe that replaces the resonator or if possible larger primary cat's say 200cell or 100.

I'd like to see some headers than don't look like a Yule Log for that thing.

although the kleemann header may not look like a true header, it has similar performance gains as a renntech header.
