After much debate between the stock E63 wheels...... or the 19"CLS wheels that dont seem to work. I settle for the factory AMG 19" CL wheel with Michelin PS2 tires. I didnt want to much bling and have been concentrating primarily on the engine, and acquiring floating rotors and new pads.
I went to Globe Tire in Los Angeles, were they have every model of brand new AMG wheels, about $360 less
than the dealer. I saw these, and after they were mounted I was in love...then one of the guys showed me this wheel in beautiful black chrome.......talk about stunning! For $1,300 bucks they will swap them out in exchange.
I really recommend them (Globe Tire), and they have the Jangy formula for all tire/wheel combos for what car. Stan Foreman knows his stuff and is a MB owner as well!

I had to ask as well to make sure. He told me the look was as close as I would get to a CLS wheel. They have a AMG catalogue from AMG and it shows the sizes and offset and the vehicles they will fit and interchange with. They have every stock AMG wheel hanging in their show room. They do ALOT of MB's there!
BTW........thanks guys for the compliments!

Nope........they are in fact brand new out of the box CL wheels (W230 silver)...AMG CL.3...19x8.5 et30 front with 245/35/19....19x9.5 et31 rear with 275/30/19. They are not CLS wheels.

Cool- just one question? Whats a W230? You mentioned W230 in your above post. The new CL is a W216 and the current SL is a R230.

So I can trade my stock 18in wheels plus $1300 for these wheels with new tires? I wonder if they'll do this out of state......
Any pics of the black chrome?

Looks amazing! Globe is great, they hooked me up with my "used" SL65 wheels (they were mounted on an E55 wagon, customer didnt like it, they were taken off on the spot) for over $1,000 off base price. Did it after they had closed too, nice guys.

2006 CLS55 AMG
I have the factory AMG 19" CLS 55 wheels on my E55, using 245/35/19, 275/30/19 PS2 tires without clearance/rubbing issues. I believe the offsets are 25 front and 28 rear? I am not exactly sure. They did rub with the stock sizes 255/35/19 and 285/30/19. BTW, I also bought my tires from Globe. Stan is the man.

The first few pics make me want to get rid of my 20's and go back to an OEM AMG wheel. Something about the silver on silver, my old 911 looked exactly like that with Techarts.
Good choice, good taste, clean car.

Congrats, they look very nice and congrats on the subtle upgrades such as the rear spoiler.
I think your car just need the White parts of the taillights tinted like the other AMG models and the Carlsson front lip spoiler "chin" or Euroteck motorsports CF lip.
Enjoy the new look and happy motoring!
