I'm hoping that getting the right size on the front will give it a better look. I was never after the bling, and performance is the most important to me.
My dilema is what size to go with up front. I love the 295 on the rears. Since the fronts are 9", I was thinking to go with a 265/35. I think that would also look best. BUT, I have gotten spoiled by the 275s that I have been running and hope that 265s aren't too narrow and bring the push back (especially given 295s in the rear). The other option is to go 275/35. That will match up better with the rears, but I worry that it will still look too bubbly AND handle a little sloppy on 9". Oh, by the way, I am getting R rated tires (Advans or Pilot Cups).
Advise?

I'm buying PS2s in 275/35/18 and 295/30/18. I will test fit the 275s on the HREs and see how it looks and feels. Then, I'll decide what R rated tires to get for the HREs. It will likely be 265/35/18 for the front, since that is mainly what is out there. If I do that, then i may go skinnier in the rear as well, for balances sake. We'll see.

Sorry to everyone that wants bigger diameter rims, but that wasn't going to happen. I need the ultimate in performance, and regardless of what anyone thinks, 18s have a distinct advantage over 19s in BOTH straight line and curves.

Here's a re-post of the most recent try. Sorry to those that have read it:
"OK fellas, here is what it looks like with 275/35/18 in front vs the 285/35/18s. I still don't like it, even though they are PS2s. The offset is just too aggressive. The 275/295 setup looks good on my OEM setup because the fronts are more tucked in (offset = 39). These HREs are et35 and that 4mm is just killing me. I'm ordering some 265/35/18 Advan A408s. I guess I don't get to run my 275/295s on these. My OEM setup powdercoating is done, so I will likely throw the PS2s on them.
Oh yeah, I also got some BFGoodrich DRs mounted onto my 18X9.5s, so I have a drag setup ready to go

Dont worry about the plate number being covered. Its nothing anyone that drives down your street cant see up close anyway, right? On the locks,I'd get those asap though. Not like MB's are stripped everday but still, locks are better than no locks i guess.

Which Gorilla locks? I see Acorn, Acorn open, Acorn, etc....
Help a rookie out fellas. I've never worried about getting **** snaked before, but SD is a hot bed for it. I don't care about the HREs. I don't want someone to screw up my ride getting them outta there.

Third time may be the charm:
"Well, I got the Advan A048s on and it seems to be the right size.
Ended up with 265/35/18 front and 295/30/18 rears. The car handles much better. There is much more feel and much less warning. Very little squeel. The car actually triggers ESP less, so I can drive harder. I can also put much more power down leaving turns. It almost wants to pick the front up. LSD needed asap.
Let me know what you think "
