e55k or e63

i was wondering which is more fun to drive the e55 kompressor or the e63? my dealer has a nice e55k sitting out front for quite less than an e63. this is the e55
http://www.auction123.com/showroom/m...cle/34960.html
and the e63 i was considering is blk/blk with pano,p2,ipod, and some other stuff for 94k sticker

Your worst nightmare...
I don't know about you but white is very hard to come by, that white E55 looks very nice, looks very clean, If I were you I would be jumping all over it. In terms of choice I just like the E55, many go with the E63 because it is a newer model, but you just can't beat that linear power and the torque is just monstrous

E55 owners are going to say get the E55, and E63 owners are going to say get the E63.

Drive both and decide which one you like more!

What do you plan to use the car for? That should make your decision very easy.

If you intend to buy, I would not get any MB that is new, the depreciation is terrible. Either wait for a used 63, or lease it. The 63 handles a little better and is smoother, the 55 is a little raw and rougher but is a torque monster that is easier to modify.

Wasn't it mentioned that the 2003 MY had electrical problems and other associated problems. I remember before I bought the 63 I read it on this board.

If you plan to modify the car you must go with the 55. If not, then either choice is good. Btw…the 63 does not handle better than the late model 55…urban myth.

You gotta get the one you like. Don't listen to us. Both cars are waaay up there with the fun and practicality factors. Each has its advantages. I'd only go with the E55 IF you plan to mod it HEAVILY. If not, I'd go with the new.

55k for the torque and mod advantages.
63 for the updated look and style.

I chose the 55k.

IMHO E63 is a lot more comfortable and forgiving than the E55..

if I had the money.. I would take an E63 over the E55.

since I can't afford one yet... I'll stick to the E55 for now.

Plus it's always nice to drive a BRAND NEW car. You never know who had it before you and how it was treated.

I never had a single problem during my 3 year lease on my 03' W211 E55 Kompressor. Same holds true now on my 06' W211 E55 so drive both and make a decision on whichever feels best for you. Good Luck both cars are great!

BEAUTIFUL!! What an awesome car! I'm envious. Personally I love the stock wheels. The only thing I'd do to the car is tint the windows (since white cars look sooooo hot with black windows), and get white front bumper lenses to replace those yellow ones that totally break up the smoothness of your beast. Here is where I got mine for $40.
