Your car looks great and then Ling comes along and does what playboy photographers do to the models ... one up's the look of an already great looking ride.

Can you feel the loss in acceleration with those R10's and the 29-30 lbs per wheel weight they bring plus increase rolling diameter and inertia?

True,Ling is a master from start to finish with the photos. All though I will say they did come out very well straight from the camera in raw mode. Some were a slight bit blurry so he fixed that nut the lighting in most are spot on.

Cant say I feel any loss and yes they are heavy,6lbs more in the rear over stock and 5.8 in the front over stock.I was cruising down PCH through Huntington last weekend and raced an 05+ vette with no problems.Only thing I heard was the whine of the Sc,music to my ears of course.I bet there is a slight draw back to the weight and if I tracked the car it would be felt more.Im going to put it on a diet for drag days. Thus the question about Evo's brakes.

GB on Evo brakes anybody?

Wheelpower is the main importer, they are forged in Japan and assembled here.

Not to hate (dear Lord knows that I LOVE this care, and especially yours), but the one thing I'm not digging (maybe, it's just me) is I think the drop on the rear is too much. Once again, I'm not hating on the car, just for some reason it looks too low for my taste.

Now, if you were to ask me if I were to drive it? HELL YA!

Holy cow!! I didn't know the Radenergies were heavier than stock!! Heavier and larger in diameter would be a disaster to me. Even Jay55's ride gets slow with the larger HREs and they are lighter.
How are they heavier? I thought most forged would be lighter. I'm pretty sure my HREs are almost 10lbs lighter than stock per wheel. Maybe I've been in zulu land, but this is odd to me.

The R10's weigh around 39-39.5 per wheel. With tires on them they were at 58-59lbs if I remember correctly.

Thread revival... those pictures are incredible. Your car looks outstanding. Sorry to hear about your misfortune with Wheelpower.. the finish product looks worth it!

Thanks,
Brad

Thanks for the kind words.I dont recommend these wheels for anybody that has a lowered car,UNLESS you want to go through all the BS like I did to get them to fit properly. In that case they fit decent and look great imo.

After a lengthy talk with the guys at HRE,it looks like these R10's are about 1-2lbs heavier that the HRE's in the same sizes.

Also after my conversation with Guy at HRE,they seem to be top notch in customer relations.Im going HRE as soon as I can get a front wheel with more lip than they offer now.

I used to be a dealer for HRE and dealt with Guy Atherton (at least I think that's his name). I was in the Mustang hi-perf business and only sold a few sets, actually one of which went to a member here, WayneE, for his Z06.

I have nothing but excellent things to say about HRE. Customer service was outstanding, and when you throw questions at them for sizing, they're quick with answers.

So are you running stock wheels now? Planning on getting HRE's? I highly recommend the brushed aluminum finish if you're ordering a set. They look incredible in the sunlight, with polished lips. At HRE's display at SEMA when I went a few years back, they had the whole gamut of wheels on display and those stood out the most.

My $0.02 is that the whole black centers/polished lip look is getting a bit out of hand. The actual style and design of the wheel gets lost and you end up paying attention to the lip only. Don't get me wrong, cars like DragonAMG's are awesome, but just not into the black centers.

After the comments you've received on your car with the R10's I think you'll have the same mindset!

Good luck, keep us posted!
Brad

HREs are tight and Guy is the only person to deal with. Luckily, he is back to working California. Customer Service isn't just a corporate policy. It is also how that policy trickles down to the people we deal with. Guy goes that extra step, because he has the knowledge and the patience.
