My first thread....ever!!
Hi folks,
Been lurking around and watching for a while now but time to get talking.
Anyway got myself an E55 over here in the Uk, and love it, you guys seem cool enough so I was wandering if I could ask a few, "newbie" questions?
1) What is the way to get the AMG logo to appear on your command unit
2) I can play MP3 cd's on the front loading DVD player but not in the CD changer. Is there a fix to this? I have heard of a code you an type in!?! Can anyone clarify this?
3) Where do you guys get your extras from, i.e AMG wheel centre caps, bonnet AMG emblem etc etc?

1. There are some instructions in a thread somewhere. If you do a search for the 3-5-7 menu, you should be able to find it.
2. I don't think it is possible.

I dont think you can play mp3 CDs in the changer, only in the slot. If your COMAND plays DVDs try an mp3 DVD - 1000songs!!!!! do a search for details.

My CD changer could play MP3 CD's. Mine is '05.
There are only 2 problems (at least what I've noticed):
1. The unit will play the 1st song right away... but it will not allow you to go to the next song and whatnot until it has "finished" scanning the disc content (it took about 30sec or so).
2. The unit will only show up to 99 songs. I haven't tried to move it to 100th+ song so not sure whether it's just a display thing or the unit will not be able to go to 100th+ songs
But... IMO, w/o being able to search the song, it's useless.... I will not remember the order of the songs.... but nevertheless, it's nice to have.

You see this is why I like it here proper friendly peeps!!!
I will post pics soon I reckon, hopefully the sun will shine soon so I can take some glam shots of my ride.
Loving this car I especially love the fact that the rear seats are heated, and that you can also close the boot from the inside.....!! Genius...........!!!
