No way that is true. 997TT has been timed under 12 seconds in the 1/4 mile by numerous magazines with close to 120mph trap speeds (on overboost). Plus with only 12,000$ in mods (EVO 610 Package), it ran 10.9 @ 127.7mph (evoms.com). With only ecu reflash, they got 11.7 @ 122mph. Hey I would personally be satisfied with 10.9 @ 127.7mph... plus they didn't even swap the variable turbo's so that 997TT is a perfect daily driver with linear and predictable power delivery, unlike that Protomotive car. I also hate the 996 interior... its just pure crap when you compare it to the 997 interior.

sorry but that is true. Look at the trapspeeds....M6's are generally in the 116-118 range, whereas stock 997TT's do 117-120, that's not much faster. Quite close in comparison from highway rolls, with the 997TT having the advantage. The 997TT is quicker....but it is not by "that much", stock for stock

'07 Porsche 997TT
If I mod my 997TT - OK I installed an exhaust yesterday (Hell, I had the car for 4 days) I will seriously consider using Todd's (Protomotive) chip. His "base" package for the 997TT is very inexpensive. EVO/GIAC gets most of the publicity but Todd really knows his stuff.

What I find amazing about the protomotive - and if I understand their somewhat wierd (read cr*p) website - the 830rwhp is produced with "only" 1.3 bar boost - thats a chunk but its not massive by any means... really impressive getting 830 rwhp from that boost setup....

BTW the graph on their site is for a 1997 993tt not the 996tt.
Here is a video of Alex's protomotive beast (making a tad more hp than Scotts I believe) racing Kawasaki 1200R: A lot of money went into this car!

DJ Self will never tell anyone his ETs becuase he is a hardcore street racer. He had a C5 TT LPE trappin 150 on low boost and has a 750hp Viper and his 996tt that supposedly crushes it. I don't think he likes to own cars slower than 140 traps. I will see if he is up for a Lily Pons race....these hardcore folks however like to negotiate 2 hours on the kick, car lengths. I just want to see a heads up race. Even if it is at MIR w/o the tree and lights.
When you saw him run back at MIR in Sept did he car seem like a 130, 140, 145 mph car?

Rudyrono was the 997 TT a red one?
The 997 TT that you raced, was it by chance a red one with personalized plates, something like "RBG," "GBR" or something like that?
I ran him about 2 months ago. Nice cool day. We did two passes on the freeway (pretty empty) from about 60 to 130. I walked him both passes. We then got on the street where we went from a dig and I got out about 2 cars and continued to pull up to about 100 mph. That's when he threw in the towel.
