CHICAGO CREW - June 24th, 2007 Meet
From Antero's thread. We're planning a meet (finally!!!). A few venues have been suggested. Please vote for your suggestion and let us know if you'll be able to make it.
1.) Early breakfast in Schaumburg / trip to Byron for some drag strip action
2.) Later lunch @ Dave & Buster's in Addison, cruise around downtown Chicago for coffee afterwards.
3.) Early meetup @ Lake Forest Oasis, cruise to Lake Geneva for lunch?

1 or 2 would work for me. Our friends live near Geneva, so #2 would be the easiest location-wise. However, if my buddy and I can ditch the wives (let them shop...very, very dangerous) the drag option would be a riot.

Marcus - Thanks for setting this up. I voted for Lake Geneva, and just hope the weather will be nice. But i will go wherever we all decide. It will also be good to take some car photo's, and im sure Lake Geneva has some good spots.......

Marcus is this a "with wife/significant other" thing ??? I was in Lake Geneva last week for the day. Still beautiful up there. Sunday will be BUSY there..FYI..Great Lakes Union Grove dragaway is just a few more minutes north of the Lake Geneva exit.

If I can make it I will.Kids off school and bugging the shti out of me to go to our place up in the woods and I have a week off starting the Monday after this meet. ....still waiting to hear if its wives and such. My cousin is part owner of Union Grove. If you guys want I can see what he can do for us to go racing one of these weekends or evenings .

Update!!! I just recieved this in email, I don't know if anyone would be interested in making it part of our venue - would be interesting to have a nice AMG showing...

7th Annual United Way Car and Motorcycle Show hosted by UPS!!!
This has become one of the largest car shows in the Midwest
with a peak so far of 450 show cars and over 10,000 attendees
This is UPS’ 100th year anniversary and the 25th year that UPS and United Way have partnered to raise money to help
keep our families and communities strong. United Way is the nation’s largest provider of health and human services
and UPS is the country’s largest corporate United Way supporter. A true family event featuring kid’s games and prizes,
this show is the single largest special event that UPS holds for United Way nationwide and is held at the UPS location
at 75th Street in Hodgkins, the world’s largest package handling facility.
If we stick to the original plan - maybe 10am? 10:30am?

We should consider having Mitch at one of the meets, if not this time. He could do car washes, small details, etc... He is easily the best detailer I have ever come across. Affordable too.

As it stands right now, Lake Forest Oasis and then to Lake Geneva is in the lead. That would make the car show a no-go, as it's totally in the opposite direction.
Again, this meet is open to anyone who can make it to the Lake Forest Oasis by approx ~10am CST.

Hey Nick, I finally washed the pig! So now it looks, feels and sounds great! I haven't had any competition so far. Although, a guy in a is300 with exhaust tried to pull on me. Needless to say he got his a** handed to him. I wouldn't call it a kill though, I probably could have beat him in the Rover. See you at the meet!
