Value of extended warranty in modified cars??
Hi,
New to the forum. Just got my 03 E55 this week. What an awesome car!
I have a month left to go before factory warranty expires. The car has Kleemann K2 mods, LSD and some other exhaust and intake mods. Does anyone with a modified car have any experience with trying to use an aftermarket warranty? A brief chat with the local MB service advisor didn't sound too good. He was suggesting that anything related to the mods would not be covered. Well.. that would pretty much rule out the entire drivetrain. So, at that point is it still worthwhile to have the warranty for non drivetrain related stuff.
Any input would be much appreciated.
