MB No Longer Offering Road Hazard-Tire & Wheel Protection

Called my MD dealer today to purchase the Road Hazard
Tire and Wheel Protection and they stated they no longer offer it after your vehicle purchase. It has to be purchased Day Of Sale. Can anyone verify this? Decision was made last week they told me. Any third party programs out there? Figure these 'beautiful NY/NJ pot hole free roads 'will catch up with me sooner or later and I want some peace of mind protection.

mine was only avail upon purchase (although the dealer postdated it a week and sold it to me after i figured out it was avail after the fact). mine is not a mb product, but an aftermarket supplier.
