i'll start off by asking how you mated the 1.5" inlet/outlet diameter of the cm-90 johnson pump to your 5/8" diameter i/c system? pictures of your pump set-up would REALLY be appreciated.

Sorry, I do not have the diameters but I do have a couple of pictures of the install. Does this help? If not, I'm sure Cory (Kleemann) would be happy to give you the additional information that you need.
